Do you enjoy finding out more about the authors of your favourite books?

Morton S. Gray, author of gorgeous romances with a mystery to solve, asked me 'Who is the real Lilac Mills'.

If you want to know the answer to that question, take a look at her blog.

And she's asking other authors the very same thing!

I've been interviewed by Anni Rose

I've been interviewed by I Heart Books!

It's a blog for books, authors, writers and readers, and is owned by the lovely Karen Louise Hollis.

You can read it here.

Karen has been writing since she was a little girl, being brought up by parents who both worked as journalists. She was born in Lincoln, England in 1969 and has recently moved back there. She has five children and three grandchildren. In 2022, she published her first novel - Welcome to Whitlock Close - followed by her second novel Starting Again in Silver Sands Bay in 2023.

She's interviewed loads of other authors too, so go take a look!

I am taking part in I AM IN PRINT’s #HowToWriteRomanceDay on SAT 13 FEB 2021!

Here are the details:

The brilliant Emily Bedford publishes historical and romantic fiction at Canelo. As commissioning editor, Emily can help with your digital publishing queries and offer tips to edit your manuscript.

Author of the TANGLEWOOD VILLAGE series Lilac Mills has overcome many barriers in her author quest, from self-publishing to signing a deal. She can help you put beta readers to best use, understand different romantic genres and colour your romantic setting.

Creative writing teacher Sophie Nicholls self-published THE DRESS before earning an agent deal and two bestselling books. Sophie will discuss lyrical writing in novels and poetry, compassionate creativity and wellbeing, and how to write from “felt” experience.

Internationally bestselling Queen of Feel Good Fiction Jill Mansell takes every day situations and makes books from them and is here to help you do the same! Make your readers laugh & cry and build your own cast of immersive characters.

Our online publishing days wouldn’t be complete without an agent so we’re delighted to host Hannah Sheppard from D H H Literary Agency Ltd with tips on cast diversity, hooking your reader, and striking the right balance between love & sex in your manuscript.

We are so looking forward to hosting James Bailey again to ask him how to keep your reader laughing whilst feeling empathy. His debut THE FLIP SIDE is one of the funniest books we’ve read and, as a man in a female dominated industry, we want to know how he flipped the romcom on its head to reach the bestselling slot.

Wrapping our day up with a heart-shaped bow is the current Romantic Novelists Outstanding Achievement winner, Milly Johnson. Learn how Milly's Author Page packages her novels with a mix of bittersweet and heartfelt emotion, and how YOU can make a living out of Writing Romance!
